• I gave a talk on preventing cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks using data typing at PyCon 2003.
• SCGI is a simple, high performance replacement for CGI. I've written an Apache module the implements the protocol and Python libraries for implementing SCGI application servers. Adding support for your favorite web server or programming language should fairly simple.
• Quixote is a Python framework for developing web applications.
• A qmail-smtpd replacement written in Python. It's not completely "drop-in" compatible but close. Included is an example of integrating a SpamBayes filter.
• A simple neural network library

• Linux capwrap module (grants capabilities to non-root processes)

• qmtp.c is a simple C program that forwards email using the QMTP protocol. QMTP is simpler and faster than SMTP (especially over high latency links like dialup lines).
• maildir.c is a simple C program written by David DeSimone that delivers a message to a qmail style Maildir mail folder.

• logping is a small program that logs incoming ICMP packets. iptables are much better, use them instead.
• qmail-filter.py is a wrapper around the qmail-queue program that filters out the ILOVEYOU worm. It might be useful as an example of how to add filtering to qmail.
